On the last weekend of September 2024, presidents of national TA associations from various European countries, including Sweden, Belgium, Ukraine, France, Spain, Austria, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Romania and Croatia, gathered in Zagreb.
The aim of this meeting was to exchange good practices, discuss the possibilities of solving current challenges and strengthen cooperation between national organizations. The participants jointly agreed on the establishment of the Google Workplace platform, to which all presidents will have access and through which they will coordinate further cooperation. Also, for the needs of faster communication, a WhatsApp group was formed.
During the meeting, key areas of cooperation were defined, which include: ethical issues, TA regulations, development of active membership, crisis management, issues related to governing bodies, organization of national congresses, summer schools and TA exams, technical and IT issues, and self-sustaining activities such as publishing and creating educational materials. General and other relevant issues that will be important for further coordination and work were also recognized.
In addition to the presidents, the meeting was attended by the president and general secretary of EATA. The next Presidents’ meeting is scheduled for November 22 and 23 2025 in Spain.
